Introduction

Parlene-Wastian Federation (officially Union of Anti-Ihami Lands – not commonly used) takes a significant part of the west coast and extends across the Ihami Plains to the Löar Mountains and borders all three kingdoms. Most of the territory is occupied by forests, a significant part is covered by steppes. The population is concentrated mainly in the west and on the shores of the Wastian Sea, the largest lake on Kélas. Two large important rivers also flow through the territory of the Federation – Ieksa and Samira. The capital city of Hortkalm is located on a smaller river Horinka.

It consists of four, de facto five, regions: Parlene, Wastia, Towakia, Syrhaian Damsétia and Ihami Plains. The Ihami Plains are controlled by the Ihams and are not under the power of the Federation's ruler, though their territory is considered part of the Federation in most cases.

The Federation was established in response to the raids of Ihami tribes whose frequency multiplied with the expansion of the Lísic nations after the collapse of the Lísic Empire. Although Wastians had lived in relative peace with the Ihams for centuries, the nomads turned against them in an attempt to make up for the loss of territory in the Ieksa river basin which had begun to be encroached upon by the Parlenish Lísans. The inhabitants of Towakia, Syrhaian Damsétia and parts of Amaria which were also affected by the raids later joined the Parlenians and Wastians, forming the current Federation.

Magic is forbidden in the Federation, however the state offers no reward for reporting people with magical abilities and so it is relatively rare, especially in the northern regions bordering the Union.

Notable noble houses

Wardzilder

Parlenish house and the current ruling dynasty of the Federation. The head of the family and the king is Matiras Wardzilder. The queen is Tieris Roscan Wardzilder. The family has been based in the capital city of Hortkalm for several centuries now.

Sinderlian

Syrhaian house based in Sindergan. Its head is Erhak Sinderlian, who is also the lord of Towakia.
